It’s not possible to save money by bundling Brightspeed’s internet and landline services. But taking them up together will make your billing more simple. If you want TV service, you need to bundle them with DirecTV or DISH TV.

I’ve endeavored to find any ways in which bundling with Brightspeed can help our readers. And with that research concluded, I’m ready to offer you the following information:

Shall we get started?

Key Takeaways for Brightspeed Bundles

The main things you need to know about Brightspeed’s bundles are:

  • There’s no way to save money with any Brightspeed bundles
  • Bundling does make your billing less complicated
  • Brightspeed offers good value internet plans as it is
  • There is one deal available if you get the Fiber Gigabit plan

Brightspeed Bundles Plans & Prices

As I’ve mentioned, you can’t save any money with Brightspeed bundles. Nonetheless, the combinations of plans you can get are as follows.

BundleDescriptionDownload/Upload SpeedPrice per month
Fiber 200 and Home PhoneThe only residential home phone plan plus 200 Mbps of fiber internet200 Mbps/200 Mbps$80
Fiber 500 and Home PhoneThe only residential home phone plan plus 500 Mbps of fiber internet500 Mbps/500 Mbps$100
Fiber Gigabit and Home PhoneThe only residential home phone plan plus 1000 Mbps of fiber internet1000 Mbps/1000 Mbps$120
Simply Unlimited and Home PhoneThe only residential home phone plan plus up to 100 Mbps of DSL internetUp to 100 Mbps/10 Mbps$100

Note that none of the prices above include any hidden fees (which are quite minimal with Brightspeed, to be fair), taxes or other state or federal fees.

We’ll take a closer look at the plans themselves shortly.

Brightspeed Internet & Home Phone Plans

Here’s a closer look at the plans mentioned in the bundles table above. With this information, you’ll be able to decide which is right for you.

Brightspeed internet plans

The internet plans available from Brightspeed are as follows [1].

Internet PlanDownload SpeedUpload SpeedPrice per month
Simply UnlimitedUp to 100 MbpsUp to 12 Mbps$50
Fiber 200Up to 200 MbpsUp to 200 Mbps$30
Fiber 500Up to 500 MbpsUp to 500 Mbps$50
Fiber GigabitUp to 940 MbpsUp to 940 Mbps$70

The prices in the table do not include taxes or hidden fees.

As you can see, the fiber plans offer a lot better value for money than the Simply Unlimited (DSL) plan. That’s because the technology is cheaper to maintain and, therefore, more cost-efficient.

Unfortunately, it’s quite new, so it’s only available to around 30-35% of the overall Brightspeed coverage map at the time of writing. Read more about the Brightspeed availability here.

If you can get it, I recommend the 200 Mbps plan to the vast majority of people. This would be more than enough speed for a large family. The 500 or 1 Gig plans will be better suited for public spaces or businesses.

If you can’t get Brightspeed Fiber, Simply Unlimited is your only option. And it’s going to cost you more money for the speed you get.

In fact, ‘Simply Unlimited’ can come at a number of different speeds. 100 Mbps is simply as fast as it gets. You might be stuck with one of the following speed caps though.

Download speedUpload speedPrice per month
20 MbpsUp to 10 Mbps$50
40 MbpsUp to 10 Mbps$50
60 MbpsUp to 10 Mbps$50
80 MbpsUp to 10 Mbps$50
100 MbpsUp to 10 Mbps$50

The speed you’ll be provided by Brightspeed will vary from area to area. It tends to be the case that the more rural areas will end up with slower speeds.

You can find out more about these plans and learn which is best for you in this article.

Brightspeed landline plans

The only other service that Brightspeed offers is for home phones. There are two plans available: Basic and Unlimited [2].

With Basic, you’ll need to pay for long distance calls and calling features. Unlimited provides free long distance calling and a bunch of calling features, such as call rejection and call forwarding.

The price varies for each plan varies from area to area. You’ll need to reach out to Brightspeed directly to get an idea of the price in your region.

Brightspeed TV Packages

While Brightspeed doesn’t actually offer any TV packages itself, it does recommend a couple of providers. Brightspeed retailers have partnerships with DirecTV and Dish, so you can purchase them both together [3].

This won’t save you any money but again, it does make your billing more simple.

Here’s a quick overview of both of those providers. You can find out more about them in our guide to Brightspeed TV.

DirecTV

AT&T’s DirecTV is a very popular TV service in the US. You can get it in either a streaming or satellite form. And with whichever form you choose, there are four tiers of entertainment. You can see them in the table below.

PlanMax price per month(Stream/Satellite)Number of Channels (Stream/Satellite)What You Get
Entertainment$69.99/$10275+/165+All the best basic channels
Choice$89.99/$124105+/200+Entertainment plus loads of sports and more
Ultimate$104.99/$154140+/270+Choice plus movie channels
Premier$149.99/$209150+/340+Everything you could want, including HBO Max, SHOWTIME, STARZ etc.

As you can see, you get more channels with the satellite service but it does cost a lot more money.

DirecTV Satellite also requires you to sign up for a two year contract, where the price increases in the second year. DirecTV Stream, on the other hand, is on a rolling one month contract.

Dish

The other option Brightspeed recommends is Dish. This is a satellite only service that starts at $64.99 per month.

Again, all Dish plans are subject to a minimum 24 month contract. There are a few hidden fees to take in here too, but overall, it offers pretty good value for money.

The four plans available are:

PlanPrice per monthNumber of ChannelsWhat You Get
America’s Top 120$79.99/mo190All the basic and local channels you need, including news
America’s Top 120 Plus$94.99/mo190+The basic package with some additional sports channels
America’s Top 200$99.99/mo240+Top 120 with extra entertainment channels
America’s Top 250$109.99/mo290+All the sports, entertainment and movies you could want!

Another benefit of Dish is that there are a lot more choices in the way of plans. You can customize your package a little better than you can with DirecTV.

I recommend taking a look at the channel lineups for both to see which you like best.

Which Other Brightspeed Deals Can I Get?

There’s only one other ‘deal’ as such from Brightspeed, and it’s for the Fiber Gigabit plan.

Customers signing up for this plan can get their router and installation for free. This would potentially save up to $299.

Of course, this is the most expensive plan, so it’s not worth taking up this deal unless you feel like you need this next level of speed.

Unfortunately, there are no other Brightspeed deals. This includes for particular groups of people, such as veterans and students.

Which states can I get Brightspeed bundles in?

Right now, Brightspeed is available in 20 states. You can see them in the table below.

AlabamaArkansasGeorgiaIllinoisIndiana
KansasLouisianaMinnesotaMichiganMississippi
New JerseyNorth CarolinaOhioOklahomaPennsylvania
South CarolinaTennesseeTexasVirginiaWisconsin

Does Brightspeed have any plans to roll out other services for bundles?

It’s still only early days for Brightspeed as a company. They only acquired the above states in 2022 so they seem to be moving pretty quickly.

Because of this, I believe there could be a chance that they’ll introduce other services (perhaps wireless or TV) in the future. But at the moment, there are no plans to do that.

How do I get started with Brightspeed?

You can sign up for most of the Brightspeed services on their website. If you have any issues finding any of the plans you’re interested in, you could always reach out to Brightspeed on the phone or through the live chat.

Wrapping Up on Brightspeed Bundles

Because Brightspeed doesn’t have a lot of services, there isn’t a lot of room for bundles. It’s a shame that you can’t save any money by bundling their home phone and internet plans together though!

That being said, the company as a whole offers pretty good value for money, so it’s not the end of the world. Plus, it’s still good to simplify your billing by taking up both services with the same company if you feel like you want them.

This all being said, even some providers who do offer many bundles don’t actually let you save money. For example, Verizon has a wealth of services but you can’t save any money by bundling them. You can find out more about that in this article.
