Best Frontier Communications Bundles
The following sections will compare the best Frontier bundles for various households and age groups. I’ll cover pricing, features, and more.
#1 Frontier Fiber 500 + YouTube TV + Phone: Best for Seniors
Adding the YouTube TV Base package and Frontier’s home phone to your Fiber 500 plan will cost $104.98 a month. For the first year. Afterward, you’ll pay $114.98.
And whatever Frontier raises their prices to in the future.
500 Mbps download speeds will provide enough bandwidth for households with under 10 people. So long as people don’t upload or download massive files 24/7. These speeds are more than enough to meet YouTube TV’s 3.0 Mbps speed requirements per device.
Speaking of. YouTube TV isn’t traditional cable. But it’s identical.
But without the ridiculous broadcast TV and regional sports fees. And no TV box. Which means less troubleshooting cable box issues.
Plop grandma and grandpa in front of a laptop, visit YouTube TV’s website, and let them run wild with all the channels YouTube offers.
If YouTube doesn’t include a channel you want, they offer various channel packages. For instance, their Sports package includes various sports channels like NFL RedZone.
Adding Frontier’s home phone service also provides a great way to contact emergency services during a power outage. Optical Network Terminals (ONTs) have a battery backup unit. These will provide power for several hours.
And allow them to contact 911.
#2 Frontier Fiber 500 + YouTube TV: Best for Homes with 3 or Fewer People
Pay $94.98 a month when adding YouTube TV Base package to the Frontier Fiber 500 plan. Once a year passes, you’ll pay $104.98 monthly.
Households will want this plan in for 2 purposes:
- It supports 3 simultaneous device streams: only a few people can use YouTube TV at the same time
- Free & unlimited cloud DVR storage: record shows and movies, then watch them later
The previous section mentions you need 3.0 Mbps download speed per device to run YouTube TV. 500 Mbps speeds will provide more than enough.
#3 Frontier Fiber 500 + DirecTV Stream best for homes with 4 or more people
Adding the DirecTV Stream Choice package to the Frontier Fiber 500 plan costs $119.98 a month for the first year. $129.98 for month 14 and on.
The plan works better for households with 4 or more due to DirecTV AT&T allowing unlimited devices to watch content simultaneously. At the cost of free unlimited Cloud storage. You have to pay an additional $10 monthly for that perk.
AT&T has add-on channels. Compared to YouTube TV, they have more international channel options. For instance, Vietnamese- or Brazilian-language channels.
Frontier Business Bundles Compared
Frontier’s business internet bundles include the following:
Bundle | * Starting Price | Max. Internet Speed | Best For |
Frontier Business Fiber 500 + RingCentral | $74.98/mo. | 500 Mbps | Clinics, restaurants, cafés, & small offices |
Business Fiber 1 Gig + RingCentral | $109.98/mo. | 1,000 Mbps | Businesses with 5–15 employees |
Business Fiber 2 Gig + RingCentral | $174.98/mo. | 2,000 Mbps | Virtual call centers |
Business Fiber 500 + RingCentral + SmartVoice | $94.97/mo. | 500 Mbps | Clinics, restaurants, cafés, & small offices |
Business Fiber 1 Gig + RingCentral + SmartVoice | $129.97/mo. | 1,000 Mbps | Businesses with 5–15 employees |
Business Fiber 2 Gig + RingCentral + SmartVoice | $194.97/mo. | 2,000 Mbps | Virtual call centers |
* Includes discount for enabling Auto Pay. Actual internet speed will vary by connectivity method (e.g., Wi-Fi vs. Ethernet) among other factors.
SmartVoice is Frontier’s business voice over internet protocol (VoIP) product. Whereas, RingCentral is like combining Slack, messenger software, and virtual faxes.
The former works best for business owners who are constantly on the move and want a means to answer calls using only data. The latter provides an all-in-one solution for businesses who need a communications platform for their team.
Frontier Internet, TV, & Voice Deals

New customers for the My Tech Premium Pro and HomeShield add-ons will pay $0.99 for the first 3 months. After which, they’ll pay $5.00 monthly.

You’ll have no data cap or contract, whether business or home internet. Their fiber business and residential plans don’t charge router rental fees. But you must pay $10 monthly for their digital service line (DSL) equipment rental fees.
They also have 24/7 customer support.
To learn about each service’s value-added purchases and details, check out their respective guides:
Their fiber plans will accommodate all your home’s needs. Whether you’re a remote worker, livestreamer, or bingeing Netflix. Honestly, the Fiber 500 will work fine for most homes.
If someone in your house frequently downloads files, you’ll need Fiber 1 Gig or 2 Gig. Whatever you choose depends on your team’s average file download and upload size.
The same goes for businesses. Cafés, restaurants, and shops with POS systems should have no issues with their Business Fiber 500 plan. But eCommerce companies and businesses with cloud infrastructure will need Fiber 1 or 2 Gig.
Large businesses (over 30 people) or those who provide cloud infrastructure as a service will need Frontier Enterprise internet. You must contact them to learn more.
Frontier TV Explained
Frontier offered fiber television until around 2020 [2]. Since then, they stopped offering television services to new customers.
Now they resell the DirecTV Stream Choice package and the YouTube TV Base package when bundling with any of their internet products. You’ll get $10 off either service every month for 1 year. Which saves you $120 the first year.
You’ll pay $54.99 a month for YouTube TV. And $79.99 a month for DirecTV Stream
Customers with any internet provider can access the 1-year discount, though. AT&T DirecTV and Google offer $120 off their services on their respective sites for a year.
Either way:
Both live TV streaming services offer more than 100 channels and only require an internet connection to watch TV. You’ll stream live television through smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and similar devices.
DirecTV Stream allows your household to stream on unlimited devices at once, but doesn’t have unlimited cloud DVR storage included. YouTube TV allows 3 simultaneous streams and includes the limitless DVR storage.
The former service works best for homes with 4 or more people who don’t often record shows. YouTube TV will work better for anyone who wants to pay less, have 3 or fewer devices that will stream, and frequently record shows to watch later.
I cover channel lineups for both services in a separate guide.
Let’s see whether Frontier’s home phone service is appealing.
Frontier Landline Pricing & Features
Frontier’s home phone service is a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) product. It costs $10 a month and is only accessible when bundling it with any Frontier home internet plan.
VoIP means the service uses the internet to make calls. Wait. Doesn’t that remove the sole benefit of using landline (more reliability)?
No.
In the event of a power outage, battery backup units (BBU) in your Frontier Fiber Optical Network Terminal (ONT) or modem will power on. This borrowed power allows you to contact 911 within a certain number of hours.
The number of hours depends on your BBU.
BUT, you must get a third-party BBU for a Frontier DSL modem or gateway [3]. The same goes for backup batteries for your ONT’s BBU.
I cover more details about battery backup units in a separate guide.
Frontier home phone also works well because it provides emergency services with your exact coordinates. Through GPS. Helpful during an emergency, when you don’t have enough time to tell the operator how to reach your home.
Frontier stuffed their landline(ish) service with more than 20 features. A couple of examples include robocall blocking and three-way calling.
