Xfinity offers internet, TV, and Voice (VoIP) service.

Their internet service will provide you with an internet connection to your home for online streaming, browsing, video calls, and emailing. It will also provide access to the Xfinity Flex device and Peacock Premium.

The TV service will give you access to up to 265+ channels with your TV. And their Voice service will provide your home with a clear telephone line with the possibility of speaking with people all over the globe.

Xfinity Internet vs. Xfinity TV Coverage

The coverage of Xfinity’s internet service and TV service will be the same. This means that you will have access to the other if you have one.

This is because Xfinity uses the same infrastructure for both services. Moreover, if you have access to TV and the internet, you will also access Xfinity’s Voice service.

Xfinity Internet Speeds & Packages

The name and the price of each internet plan package differ all over the country with Xfinity. But here are the two names each internet plan can have and the download speed and upload speed.

The plan costs 299.95$/month and provides you with 6000 Mbps download speed, and 6000 Mbps upload speed.

Such speed won’t be necessary for a normal household. Still, it’s a good option if you are a medium to large business

Gigabit vs. Gigabit Pro

The speed is the biggest difference between Xfinity’s Gigabit and the Gigabit Pro plan.

Gigabit provides you with 1200 Mbps download and 35 Mbps upload speed, while the Gigabit Pro plan gives you 6000 Mbps download and 6000 Mbps upload speed.

Gigabit Pro also has no data caps (Gigabit has 1.2 Terabit).

Moreover, Gigabit Pro uses fiber optic internet while Gigabit uses cable internet to provide your data.

Unsurprisingly, Gigabit Pro is way more expansive compared to the Gigabit plan. It costs you $299.95/month compared to Gigabit, which costs between $70-$109.99/month.

The only reason you should get the Gigabit Pro internet plan is if you need a very high upload speed. This will mostly be the case for business. So very few households should need it.

Xfinity Coverage Expansion

For 2022 and beyond, Comcast Xfinity plans to expand its broadband coverage aggressively. [1].

They will mostly grow in the Northeast parts of the country, with states like Vermont being on the frontline.

And according to their CEO, they will also expand to parts of the country that already have Fiber optics internet.
